This position is focused on the design of systems for Electromagnetic Effects (EME) and compatibility and to support testing using our two Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Chambers. The selected candidate would join an experienced team and work under the guidance of an experienced engineer to gain proficiency in this area.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
Minimum eight (8) years engineering experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Familiarity with electromagnetics, radar/EW principles, RF design, antenna engineering, laboratory experimentation and instrumentation skills.
Understanding of MIL Standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility (Susceptibility, Induced, Conducted) and mutual RF interference.
Ability to support shipboard topside analysis or similar work such as mutual RF interference analysis in a dense RF environment.
Understand the application of COTS EMI/EME specifications and how it translates to military applications and compliance with military standards.
Strong analytical, applied mathematics and problem solving skills.
Ability to obtain DoD clearance.
Desired skills
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, of equivalent.
Experience with radar signal processing, embedded processors, SW/HW Integration and Test, WIRESHARK, ability to use varied models of analog instrumentation equipment.
