Industry leading manufacturer of robotic workcells seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree and 3
years experience using 2D and 3D CAD software to aid in the design of robots for high-precision, high-speed and performance applications including precision pick and place, aligning, coating, and stacking of extremely brittle materials including glass sheets, silicon and various III-V compound semiconductor materials.
Proven ability to design components of cell machines including:
- End Effectors
- Linear motor driven XYZ motion systems
- Coating Chambers
- UV Curing Systems
- Vision Systems
Individual must be able to perform stress and failure analysis calculations including Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Must have design experience dealing with handling Ceramics, Silicon, Glass or other brittle materials.
