Responsibilities:
Lead a collaborative team providing development and sustainment of Mission Critical Real-Time Systems, performing the following tasks:
o Operate using Agile software delivery methodology.
o Analyzing requirements for integration and/or testability issues.
o Support continuous improvement by refining our testing process.
o Work with multiple cross-functional development team located in CO, VA, CT, NJ, and CA using agile software development methodology.
o Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.
gdefect densities and open defect counts).
o Partnering with Scrum Master to drive continuous improvement within the Agile team.
o Assemble the solution / product elements in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behavior, interactions, and performance, and to confirm that the requirements against which the solution / product has been designed are fulfilled.
o Participates in software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review, and software acceptance reviews.
o Researches problems and develops solutionso Collaborate with and mentor more junior software and integration engineerso Work alongside the team to increase quality, resiliency, reduce risk, and drive efficiencies in development, release, and operational tasks.
o Bachelor's Degree in any of the following:
Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MathematicsMaster's degree preferredo US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceo 15
years' experience in software development, maintenance, engineering, or support of large-scale software programsin various languages including C++, Java, and Adao Experience utilizing git version control systems, git command-line experience required (additional experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, etcpreferred)o Experience utilizing Jira/GitLab as agile issue tracking systemo Experience refactoring large scale software systems using modern design methodso Experience utilizing xUnit test frameworks like GoogleTest, pyUnit, and jUnito Experience compiling and releasing large-scale software systems in nix.
o Ability to write detailed test cases and execute testing for a real-time mission critical weapon system.
o Excellent communication skills required.
o Enthusiastic about software design and testing of complex systems.
o Ability to take on projects and operate with minimal oversight.
o Acquainted with Jenkins or similar continuous integration software.
o Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Automated Test methodologies.
o Experience working with and communicating effectively with development teams.
o Strong skills with MS Office.
o Experience providing large technical leadership to a large team of 20
development staff.
o Experience coordinating and collaborating with other senior software engineers and system engineers.
o Experience on Combat System design and engineering required.
o Support the SSDS SrManager and the SW architect to execute their vision for the systemExperience with the following is a plus:
o Aegis/or SSDS combat systemso Knowledgeable in tactical behaviors of missile and radar operations Recommended Skills Ada Compliance Agile Methodology Assembly And Installation Bitbucket Business Process Improvement C+
