The successful candidate will assume the Systems Engineering Associate Manager position for the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) group within the Radar Systems Engineering organization at Lockheed Martin RMS. This group provides the skills, tools and processes to develop, optimize, and document large scale radar models and simulations as standalone systems and as part of a system of systems. The group is also responsible for evolving M&S products and architectures to offer new capabilities, optimize reuse and efficient adaptability across programs, and enable tighter integration with tactical solutions. As the group manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management and development of the staff, functional initiatives, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. The manager will be engaged throughout the program development lifecycle, ensuring the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools are applied on assigned programs. The manager will partner across Centers of Excellence, Program and Chiefs offices to ensure work products meet or exceed customer objectives. The manager will be responsible for personnel management of direct reports to include performance assessment, career development guidance, program assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing and recruiting. Finally, the manager will assist in the execution of assigned projects as an individual contributor, team lead or technical reviewer and contribute to the development of new business opportunities. Qualifications:
o B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent. o Functional knowledge of Radar systems and subsystems. o Experience with Agile software development and associated tools. o Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams including task planning, budget management and/or employee development and mentoring. o Proven ability to resolve and drive complex technical issues/challenges to closure. o Excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation. o Strong customer focus with track record of achieving outstanding customer satisfaction. Desired Skills:
o 7
years of experience in Systems or Software Engineering. o Advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent. o Expertise in C/C++, Python or similar higher order languages. o Demonstrated experience in leading and executing on software intensive programs. o Risk management experience including identification, mitigation, abatement planning and tracking. o Control Account Management (CAM) experience. o Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and proposal support experience. o Active DoD Secret level clearance or higher.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
